The land cover map will be based on Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper (ETM+) data and represent circa year 2000 conditions. Land cover will be produced through a partnership of federal, provincial, and territorial governments, universities and industry. Products generated will follow the 1:250,000 National Topographic Series Map Sheet tiles and naming convention. The land cover products are expected to be completed by early 2006.
